Alan Kelley Retires
February 5, 2026 -
Please join us in celebrating the retirement of Alan Kelley from the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska. His final day was December 31, 2025, after more than 20 years of dedicated service to the Tribe.
Throughout his career, Alan served in many roles, including Gaming Commissioner, Bingo, IT, Tribal Historic Preservation Officer, and Vice Chair. Because of his incredible dedication to our community, he earned a reputation as someone who would always do his very best to get the job done, no matter the challenge. This dedication led him to serve in more than ten different positions while also holding the role of Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee, which is a true testament to his commitment to the Tribe. Alan also represented the Tribe with distinction on water rights and water quality issues, as well as ensuring Ioway representation at parks and museums, including Good Earth State Park and the Kansas Historical Museum, where he has been featured in exhibits.
We look forward to seeing Alan around the Reservation as he enjoys and thrives in his well-earned retirement. Thank you, Alan, for your many years of invaluable service to the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska. Rigruhinje ki.
